
Teri Hatcher was born Teri Lynn Hatcher on the 8th of December 1964, in Palo Alto California. Her mother Esther was an engineer at Lockheed Martin computer programmer, while her father Owen was an electrical engineer and nuclear physicist. She was educated by Esther. Teri was born in Sunnyvale and went on to study ballet at San Juan School of Dance. Fremont High School was where she was the Featherettes dance captain and was awarded the "Most Likely To Be the Solid Gold Dancer" award. After graduating Hatcher was a math and engineering student at De Anza College and took acting classes at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Teri confessed that her uncle Richard Hayes Stone abused her sexually beginning at age five. She assisted Santa Clara County prosecutor with their case against Stone. Stone was responsible for the suicide of a 14-year old victim. Stone was sentenced to prison for four counts and pleaded guilty to molestation. In prison, Stone died of colon cancer.
