
She failed to reach out to record companies to ask for help but things were about to change when she met Rob Fusari a music producer. He supported her musical career and they developed a strong working relationship that led to a close friendship. Fusari was the person who gave her the stage name Lady Gaga. It was in honour of Radio Gaga by Queen which Stefani was a fan of. Akon, who was already familiar with Lady Gaga's songwriter standing, saw her perform at an event and offered her a contract with his label Kon Live Distribution. Gaga certainly accepted it. Lady Gaga became a singer after the performance. Fusari, RedOne, and Martin Kierszenbaum were her producers at this stage.
