Robyn Rihanna Fenty also referred to as Rihanna is a Barbadian singer-songwriter who gave us hit songs such as Pon de Replay SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. She is a very popular performer who has sold over 41 million albums around the world and more than 150 million songs. Born in Barbados she grew up listening to reggae music and began singing while she was young. Unhappy with the chaos in her family and conflicting with her parents, she immersed herself in music, and soon realized she wanted to become a professional singer. In her teens, she joined a musical group. Evan Rodgers auditioned her and was deeply impressed. In order to make money as a professional singer, Rodgers asked her to move into New York. Rihanna's debut album was shortly launched and Rihanna became a musical sensation in no time. Young people adored her energetic songs. This inspired Rihanna to make films. Young and talented, Rihanna has been viewed as a teenager-idol, as well as a fashion icon. Rihanna makes good use of her celebrity and has been able to support numerous charities.
